Standard Chartered Makes Giant Bullish Prediction for Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana Price
Investment giant Standard Chartered shared its estimates about Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana prices in its latest analysis.
Geoff Kendrick of Standard Chartered has predicted a significant increase in the price of Solana, predicting a five-fold increase by the end of 2025 if Donald Trump wins the US presidential election.
Kendrick, the bank’s Global Head of Digital Assets Research, also predicted in a recent note that ETH could quadruple in value, while Bitcoin could triple in value over the same time frame:
“Based on today’s prices under Trump, I estimate the following rates by the end of 2025: SOL 5X, ETH 4X, BTC 3X.”
Kendrick also offered an alternative view, suggesting that Bitcoin would outperform Ethereum and ETH would outperform Solana if Kamala Harris became president.
“In US dollar terms, we expect Ethereum to reach $7,000 by the end of 2025 in a scenario where Kamala Harris is president,” he said. Kendrick argued that regardless of the election result on November 5, Bitcoin is expected to reach $200,000 by the end of 2025.
Kendrick outlined the specific conditions required for Solana’s value to rise as predicted and touched on the role the Trump administration could play in supporting the ecosystem. “A Solana ETF would be more likely to launch under a Trump presidency,” Kendrick said, noting that such regulatory developments could significantly benefit Solana.
Kendrick also noted the market’s optimism for Solana, noting that metrics point to a bright growth outlook, with a 100x to 400x increase in throughput expected. Kendrick noted that Solana’s network throughput would need to increase significantly for the valuation estimate to be realized. Kendrick cited Firedancer, a new third-party validator client software designed to increase Solana’s throughput by up to one million transactions per second, as a key component.
Kendrick also noted that in order for Solana to achieve these ambitious valuations, it will need to dominate multiple sectors that require high transaction volumes, such as finance, consumer services, and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN).
