Red Dead Redemption, along with its additional tale Undead Nightmare, will be made available on the PC for the first time. Rockstar Games has also reported that both games will be available starting from October 29 and will offer several enhancements made specifically for the PC.

The development of the new PC version is being carried out in partnership with Double Eleven studio which is known for working on titles like Rust and Minecraft Dungeons. It will feature 4K resolution at up to 144hz, support for ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors and HDR10 compatibility. Players will also get NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0 upscaling technologies to perform better along with options to increase or decrease draw distances and shadow quality settings.

PC version brings advanced visual upgrades for enhanced gameplay

This time, the PC version will be enhanced with native 4K resolution and high refresh rates set to offer visual fidelity ever seen for Red Dead Redemption. Gamers with high-end monitors will be able to use more immersive ultrawide and super ultrawide display formats. An option to use a full keyboard and mouse will be offered for those who prefer that setup over a game controller.

The game will also feature NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation technology, which aims to create additional frames to increase speed without compromising visual quality. Apart from advanced upscaling solutions such as DLSS and FSR, players will be able to adjust in-game settings such as the relationship between the draw distance and the quality of shadows, thus enhancing the overall visual appeal even on low-end computers.

PC release expands access without adding new content

The PC version will have visual and technical upgrades, but no new content additions or gameplay changes have been revealed. This release will essentially focus on making the game titles Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare accessible to PC players with improved graphics and settings. Both games are already available on consoles including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox.

Players will soon be able to pre-purchase the game with various digital retailers such as Rockstar Store, Steam and Epic as more information is anticipated to be released later this week.
