The Canadian video game developer BioWare announced on the official Dragon Age X account that the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard game will be Steam-native. The game will, therefore, not require the EA app to launch on the distribution service.

The game being native on Steam will also ensure gamers do not need any other third-party applications to launch it. The upcoming RPG is Steam Deck verified, significantly improving the game’s performance for PC players with low-budget hardware.

BioWare recently released Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s gameplay. The game developer has yet to reveal any other details about the game, which is supposed to launch in the fall of this year. The specific date remains unavailable as fans await the announcement this summer.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature more characters, new locations, magic, and color. Players can also fully customize their characters to their desired body shape and attributes.

The game’s development team also confirmed attendance at the San Diego Comic-Con held this week in the same blog. The team mentioned that Dragon Age’s creative director, John Eppler, and the creative performance director, Ashley Barlow, would be present during the SDCC.

BioWare encouraged Dragon Age fans to join them during the comic-con. The game developer promised to introduce some voice actors behind the game’s characters. The announcement mentioned that Neve, Lucanis, Emmrrich, and Harding would feature during the SDCC. BioWare will also host a Fandom Party at the Hard Rock Hotel Rooftop.

On July 28, BioWare will have a session during the SDCC, allowing Dragon Age fans to meet its developers. The game developer has also been motivating fans to post fan art, cosplays, and other creative content on X with FanFriDAys and DragonAge hashtags.
