Tether CEO: FBI to be Onboarded Soon After US Secret Service to Combat Crime
Tether, the stablecoin issuer, is set to provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) with access to its platform after recently onboarding the U.S. Secret Service. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino stated in a letter to Senator Cynthia Lummis and Representative James French Hill that the company is working with law enforcement agencies to combat criminal activity. Ardoino also explained how Tether has partnered with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to freeze wallets associated with the government's SDN list, and that the company is committed to supporting law enforcement to elevate the status of the US dollar globally.
