1.Mainstream Exchange Trends:

  • Kraken will share some of its user data with the IRS next month. The data concerns Kraken's U.S. users with transaction volumes exceeding US$20,000 between 2016 and 2020. The data includes names, birthdates, taxpayer identification numbers, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and five-year transaction records.
  • Coinbase Cloud: Celestia will provide support for its on-chain staking service after its mainnet goes live.

2.Cryptocurrency Trends:

  • Memeland:
(1) The MEME token community presale (discounted sale) has ended. On-chain data shows that the pre-sale has raised 8,737.131 ETH (about US$15.69 million).
(2) The pre-sale distributed a total of 7.59 billion MEME to 25,300 participants, representing 11% of the total supply.
  • Business Insider, citing insider sources, reports that Musk firmly claims X platform will become a "mature" dating website and digital bank by 2024.

  • Uniswap:
(1) The Uniswap community has voted in favor of the "Invest in Ekubo Protocol" proposal and will invest US$12 million in UNI.
(2) a16z transferred US$28 million in UNI from its UNI voting address to a new address, in addition to the Uniswap Foundation's transfers of approximately US$40 million in UNI to Kraken, OKX, and FalconX in the past week.
  • James Seyffart, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, announced on X that the asset management group VanEck has submitted a modified version of its spot Bitcoin ETF to SEC.
  • UniSat Wallet: BRC-20 Swap goes live, supporting 14 Bitcoin inscriptions in its first batch.
  • The sports and entertainment blockchain solution Chiliz has announced the launch of the Chiliz Chain ecosystem, enabling users to participate in SportFi and developers to create fan-centric applications.

3.Financing Trends:

  • Access Protocol, a Solana ecological content monetization protocol, announced the completion of a US$1.2 million seed round of financing, with participation from Sora Ventures, DV Ventures, CMS Holdings, Double Peak Group, and other investors.
  • Moonveil Entertainment, a Web3 gaming studio, has secured a US$5.4 million seed round of financing led by Gumi Cryptos Capital and Arcane Group with participation from IOSG, among others.

4.Regulatory Trends:

  • A crypto bill (i.e., the Virtual Asset Management Bill) was formally introduced in Taiwan, China and passed its first reading in parliament. If passed and enacted, the bill will require all crypto platforms operating in Taiwan to apply for a license;
  • Cointelegraph reports that Turkey plans to have a crypto framework in place by 2024. Turkey's 2024 Presidential Annual Program published in the Official Gazette, has set the goal of finalizing the country's crypto regulations within the next year.
