2.Cryptocurrency Trends:

  • Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, posts an article exploring "protocol and staking pool changes that could improve decentralization and reduce consensus overhead". The article notes that there are currently two types of Ethereum staking: one for node operators and one for delegators. Vitalik sees flaws in both: the centralization risk in node operators, and the needless consensus layer burden of delegators.
