On October 8, Adam Back responded to speculation in the crypto community that Blockstream founder Adam Back is Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto, saying that he entered bitcoin-wizards' IRC channel in 2013 to ask a lot of technical questions about bitcoin, such as address balances and UTXO, and provided the IRC channel logs from that time, indicating that he was still learning the specifics of bitcoin at the time. Adam Back pointed out that while he was a fast and creative learner, it was only in the second half of 2013 that he came up with the concepts of Schnorr signatures, confidential transactions, mining decentralization, client-side validation, and sidechains, further proving that he was not Satoshi Nakamoto. further proving that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto.
Previously in May 2020, Adam Back denied rumors that he was Satoshi Nakamoto.
