Bitcoin L2 BOB launches easy one-click BTC staking solution
BOB (Build on Bitcoin), a hybrid Layer 2 solution integrating Bitcoin and Ethereum, has introduced BOB Stake, a new one-click Bitcoin staking product.
This platform allows users to stake Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) easily and use Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) across decentralised finance (DeFi) applications, making the staking process simpler and more user-friendly.
BOB Stake enables Bitcoin holders to stake their BTC with just one transaction, working alongside various staking providers, wallets, and aggregators.
The system supports LSTs built on Babylon, such as Solv, Bedrock, and Chakra, which can be utilised in lending, borrowing, and BTC-backed stablecoins on DeFi platforms.
The development team at BOB has partnered with infrastructure providers like Cobo, Dynamic, and FBTC to streamline the staking experience.
BOB aims to replicate the success of Ethereum’s (CRYPTO:ETH) liquid staking, which has amassed $32 billion in total value locked (TVL).
With Bitcoin’s larger market value, BOB's founders believe the liquid staking market for Bitcoin could potentially surpass that of Ethereum.
The platform’s new staking portal and Software Development Kit (SDK) are designed to lower costs and reduce the time required for staking, presenting an attractive option for BTC holders seeking yield opportunities within the DeFi sector.
Alexei Zamyatin, co-founder of BOB, stated, "One click to stake them all," highlighting the ease of using BOB’s new BTC liquid staking portal.
The system uses Bitcoin intents and cross-chain solutions to provide a secure and streamlined staking experience.
Additionally, BOB announced that its community will soon have a final opportunity to gain early entry into the ecosystem with the last season of the BOB Fusion campaign, offering more ways for users to engage with and benefit from its platform.
At the time of reporting, the Bitcoin (BTC) price was $57,768.26.
