Ethereum block options on Deribit sell call options for $2,800 at the end of August
On August 15th, Lin Chen, Deribit's Asia-Pacific business leader, wrote on X platform that today the largest Ethereum block trade option generated $200,000 in premium for an investor who sold 1,500 ETH call options with a strike price of $2,800 expiring at the end of August. Chen analyzed that the trader likely held a large amount of ETH and sold call options to generate income. If the price is below $2,950 at expiration, it will be profitable with a monthly income of 3% (annualized at approximately 68.43%) in terms of cryptocurrency.
