Philippine central bank governor: The direction of monetary policy will eventually tend to be easing
The Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines stated that the direction of monetary policy will ultimately trend towards easing. When conditions are ripe and we feel that inflation is under control, we plan to loosen policy. We do not want to maintain high interest rates that lead to output losses.
