Biden's Probability of Quitting Presidential Race Rises to 65% on Crypto Prediction Market
Traders on Polymarket, a crypto-based prediction market, have increased the probability of Joe Biden dropping out of the U.S. presidential race to 65%. This comes ahead of his first press conference in months, and amidst concerns about his age and cognitive health. Despite his insistence that he will stay in the race, prominent Democrats and donors, including George Clooney, have called for him to step aside. Biden's chances of becoming the Democratic nominee have also decreased to 38%, while Kamala Harris has 19% odds and Donald Trump is at 61% to win the presidency on Polymarket.
