Ethereum to launch $2 million full-protocol “hackathon”
Ethereum will launch the first ever hackathon event, with an expected reward pool of 2 million US dollars, "aimed at the largest-scale crowdsourced security audit of blockchain code libraries". The Ethereum Protocol Security (EPS) research team explained in a blog post on July 8th that the so-called "hackathon" will witness security researchers "actively looking for vulnerabilities in protocol code" during a four-week "limited-time audit challenge".
