On-chain detective ZachXBT stated in a post on X that MEV engineer Robert Robb recently pleaded guilty to his MEV bot investment fraud scheme and now faces a maximum of 20 years in prison. In December 2023, ZachXBT published an article detailing more than 11 victim investors and exposing Robert Robb's criminal background. Victim users discovered that Robb used investors' funds for personal expenses such as sports event tickets, luxury cars, and travel after receiving them in his own Coinbase account. He was arrested in Las Vegas in March of this year. In December of last year, ZachXBT posted on the X platform that MEV engineer Robert Robb had raised at least $1.2 million from 11 people earlier in the year for various MEV bots (independent of Rampage) and claimed that these bots would soon be put into use. However, after initially agreeing to refund the funds due to numerous delays in releasing the bots, he made various excuses, including health issues, exchange issues, extortion, and family issues, to repeatedly delay refunds.
