Odaily News Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty publicly responded to the U.S. SECs allegations against the company. Prior to this, Ripple proposed to reduce its fine in the
XRP lawsuit to no more than $10 million, which was far lower than the $2 billion initially requested by the SEC and compared it with the Terraform Labs case. Alderoty posted on X that the SEC was angry because Ripple did not make any concessions but argued for its rights. He emphasized that the court had clarified that XRP was not a security under certain conditions and pointed out that there were no victims who needed to be compensated. (
