Malaysia contributes 2.5% of the global hash rate, ranking among the top 10 countries
According to data from the University of Cambridge, as of January 2022, the United States has become the global leader in hash rate. Southeast Asian countries are also continuously rising. Cambridge University's data shows that Malaysia contributes 2.5% of the global hash rate, ranking among the top 10 countries. Alexander Neumüller, the head of research at Cambridge University, said that the preliminary results of recent mining research indicate that mining activities in Indonesia will significantly increase in 2022, reaching "low to mid-single-digit percentages".
