Anchorage Digital Adds Former Goldman Sachs Executive to Board of Directors
Anchorage Digital, a crypto custody firm, has appointed Connie Shoemaker, a former Goldman Sachs executive, to its board of directors. Shoemaker is currently the COO and CFO of Bridgewater Associates Holdings, the parent company of Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund. Anchorage Digital is the only crypto bank with a charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and its business is growing due to institutional interest in crypto. The expansion of the board of directors is part of Anchorage Digital's effort to meet the rising institutional demand for safe and secure digital asset infrastructure. Shoemaker's experience in the traditional finance world will be valuable to Anchorage Digital as it continues to grow.
