Former Goldman Sachs executive joins Anchorage Digital board
Cryptocurrency custody company Anchorage Digital has added former Goldman Sachs executive Connie Shoemaker to its board of directors. Connie Shoemaker currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the parent company of asset management firm Bridgewater Associates. Anchorage Digital is currently the only cryptocurrency bank licensed by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The company spokesperson stated that with the approval of the spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), institutional interest in cryptocurrencies is booming and Anchorage Digital's business is growing.
