Wintermute CEO: Ethereum leaders are caught in a “huge contradiction”
Wintermute CEO Evgeny Gaevoy, a digital asset market maker, stated that Ethereum leaders must choose between supporting a capitalist or socialist economic system, but cannot do both. You either build capitalism or plan socialism. I'm sorry, you really can't have it both ways. If ETH fails in the future, it won't be because Solana is faster, but because ETH "elites" are still mired in huge contradictions.
Gaevoy believes that Vitalik Buterin, Adams, and many others in the Ethereum community are facing a contradiction. They claim to want to create products that can bring positive change to society and ultimately have value, while continuing to try to solve the maximum extractable value (MEV), which is the maximum value that can be extracted from a set of transactions based on transaction order.
Previously, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Uniswap founder Hayden Adams, the decentralized exchange (DEX) of Ethereum, recently commented on the surge in celebrity memecoins.
