Aptos Labs Founder Appointed to CFTC Digital Assets Subcommittee
The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has appointed Mo Shaikh, co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs, as a member of its digital asset subcommittee. The digital asset subcommittee consists of 34 members, including executives from BlackRock, Polygon Labs, Uniswap Labs, and BNY Mellon. The digital asset market subcommittee is under the Global Markets Advisory Committee (GMAC), which was established in 1998 and consists of important figures in the financial industry, including executives from Citadel, Goldman Sachs, and HSBC. The committee provides advice to the CFTC on regulation and rulemaking.
