Trump's conviction did not affect Polymarket's betting on his election win
Despite being convicted on May 30, 2024, users on the blockchain prediction market Polymarket still expect Trump to win the November election this year. Currently, his support rate on the platform is 55%, while Biden's is 39%, with a betting amount of nearly $145 million. It is understood that the US Constitution does not explicitly prohibit convicted felons from running for or serving as president. Although Trump's conviction could result in a maximum of four years in prison, it is generally believed that he will avoid being imprisoned for non-violent crimes.
