What is BounceBit (BB)?

BounceBit is a project using the centralized and decentralized finance framework to build a BTC restaking network. With BounceBit, Bitcoin (BTC) holders can earn yield across different networks.

But it does not end there, the project allows full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine with the help of BB, its native token. For those unfamilar, BounceBit is a layer-1 project that uses that combines Bitcoin’s security with the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus.

With the dual system, users can bridge assets and interact with restaking products on the network. In addition, the project is secured by the regulated custody of Mainnet Digital and Ceffu.

The price of BB has increased by 30.50% in the last 24 hours. As a result of this hike, the value of the token jumped to $0.69. However, Coin Edition observed that the price increase was not artificial due to the indications from the trading volume.

As of this writing, BouncBit’s trading volume was $648.87 million. This was a 74% increase from what the value was on May 26. Considering the rise in volume, BB’s price could be looking at hitting $0.75 in the short term as the volume could give strength to the upswing.

Also, the upper band of the indicator seemed to have touched the token at $0.77, making it overbought. As such the price has decreased. From all indications, a bearish situation could send BB as low as $0.61. But in a highly bullish case, it could bounce to $0.79.

On May 27, the signal from the Relative Strength Index (RSI) was similar to what was shown on the Bollinger Bands. At that time, the RSI reading climbed past 70.00, making the token overbought.

As mentioned before, this overbought status was what caused the price to retrace. In addition, the RSI indicator seemed to be facing downward, indicating that BB’s price might continue to decrease in the short term.

On the 4-hour chart, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) was previously positive. At this time, the reading indicated that the momentum was bullish. However, press time data showed that the indicator had flipped to negative territory, suggesting that the BB’s momentum was now bearish.

Furthermore, the 26 EMA (orange) had crossed over the 12 EMA (blue), indicating that sellers have begun to take over bullish control. If this persists, the price of BB could continue to slip.

BounceBit (BB) Price Prediction 2024

Despite BB’s current situation, the price of the token might hit a new high in 2024. This is due to the indications shown by the Supertrend. Based on the 4-hour chart, the buy signal of the Supetrend was situated at $0.56, suggesting that the price of the token might drop to the region.

However, if BB does, it could be a time to accumulate more before another uptrend begins. In addition, the Money Flow Index (MFI) trended downward, suggesting that selling pressure was intense as capital was being taken out of the cryptocurrency.
