Former FTX Executive Ryan Salame Must Pay More Than $6 Million in Forfeiture Taxes and More Than $5 Million in Restitution in addition to Prison
The US Department of Justice website disclosed that Damian Williams, a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York, announced today that Ryan Salame, CEO of FTX Digital Markets Ltd., a subsidiary of FTX Bahamas, has been sentenced to 90 months (7.5 years) in prison. In addition to imprisonment, Ryan Salame was also sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay over 6 million US dollars in confiscation tax and over 5 million US dollars in compensation.
