Tornado Cash co-founder lawyers again seek to dismiss lawsuit before trial begins
Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's defense team has submitted a series of new documents in an attempt to have the case against Storm dismissed before the trial starts, claiming that the prosecutor overstepped in their final pre-trial motion. After the government responded to Storm's motion to dismiss the trial, his defense team submitted a reply last Friday arguing that the case against him should be dismissed because the government did not take sufficient measures to prove that Storm actively participated in the crimes charged in the indictment. "In fact, as the government admits, when criminals began to abuse the Tornado Cash protocol, it was immutable and anyone with an internet connection could use it," the motion stated.
