Shenyu's Prediction: 80-90% of Early Funds Flowing into Ethereum ETF After Approval Will Be from Retail Investors
PANews reported on May 24 that Cobo co-founder and CEO Shenyu (@bitfish1) tweeted that based on the experience with BTC ETFs and publicly available market information, the timeline for the ETH spot ETF is as follows:
• May 23: ETH 19B4 unexpectedly passed, market makers began purchasing ETH spot to prepare for providing liquidity.
• Early June: S1 may pass, the fastest in 2 weeks but usually takes 3 months.
• Mid-June: Trading may start immediately or within a few days after S1 passes.
• June to December: In the initial listing period, retail funds account for 80-90% of inflows, with less institutional participation, potentially facing arbitrage and selling pressure.
• After December: Institutional investors may gradually enter the market.
