Mark Cuban slams SEC chairman, says crypto voters will have a voice in 2024 elections
Billionaire Mark Cuban responded on social media to former 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's attitude towards cryptocurrencies. Cuban accused Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler of failing to protect investors from fraud and warned Congress that cryptocurrency voters will make their voices heard in the 2024 election. A January poll showed that 51% of cryptocurrency voters support Trump as a presidential candidate, but there is significant disagreement in congressional elections. Trump has stated that he will accept cryptocurrency donations to support his campaign, while Gensler believes that the cryptocurrency market poses risks and requires regulation.
