On May 7th, the LocalMonero/AgoraDesk team, a peer-to-peer trading platform for Monero, announced that they will be ending operations and immediately banning new registrations and ad postings for Monero trades. On May 14th, the LocalMonero platform will ban trading of privacy-centric cryptocurrencies, citing a combination of internal and external factors, but did not disclose specific reasons for the shutdown. On November 7th, the website will be shut down and users are advised to withdraw all funds from their wallets before this date, or risk forfeiting their funds. (Cointelegraph)
