Rune transactions account for 68% of all Bitcoin transactions since launch
Since the launch of the new Bitcoin token standard Runes on April 20th, it has accounted for more than two-thirds of Bitcoin's trading volume.
According to data from Dune Analytics shared by blockchain research company Crypto Koryo, the Bitcoin network has processed more than 2.38 million Rune transactions, accounting for 68% of all Bitcoin transactions since its launch on April 20th. Regular Bitcoin peer-to-peer transactions, BRC-20, Ordinals, and Runes are all included in the total number of transactions.
In addition, Runes experienced its highest trading volume on April 23rd, with over 750,000 transactions, but the next day, the trading volume decreased by more than half, to 312,000 transactions.
