Axie Infinity Co-Founder Hacked for $10 Million
Jeff Zirlin, co-founder of the blockchain game Axie Infinity, had his wallets hacked by unknown individuals resulting in the theft of 3,248 Ethereum worth $9.7 million. The cybercriminals withdrew the funds from the Ronin Bridge and used the Tornado Cash mixer to cover their tracks. The incident was reported to the blockchain security analytics platform PeckShield, and the co-founder of the Ronin network confirmed that the bridge was not compromised. This is not the first time a co-founder of a blockchain company has been hacked, as Ripple's Chris Larsen had his personal wallet hacked for $112 million in January.
