Goldman Sachs: Ethereum Dencun upgrade may take place in the first quarter of 2024
Goldman Sachs (GS) stated in a report on Thursday that the Ethereum Denouement upgrade could take place in the first quarter of 2024, which is the next step in blockchain becoming a scalable settlement layer. The main impact of the Denouement upgrade will be to increase the data availability of layer 2 aggregation through raw risk segmentation, thereby reducing the cost of aggregated transactions and passing them on to end users. Earlier reports stated that Ethereum client developers confirmed on Thursday that the expected Denouement upgrade will not be implemented in a network hard fork before the end of 2023.
